‘My first meeting with a crystal skull was in 1995, when I was mesmerized by a clear quartz crystal skull that was staring at me for a whole weekend during my Reiki training. It was speaking to me, although I did not understand its language. I felt there was a skull that wanted to be with me. A year later that very skull was mine. I named him Clair, French for clear, (it felt like a ‘he’), started meditating with him, traveled to many sacred places with him and really bonded with him. After some time it felt like he wanted company. Today I have a family of 64, all contemporary. They have given me a lot. I have learnt to sense energies, to activate the skulls, to channel messages they give me in writing. They are teachers and marvelous tools. I feel they continuously contribute to my growth and I feel grateful they are in my life’.

‘When I met my first (contemporary) crystal skull in 1994 I had never heard about crystal skulls. I was completely unprepared for the emotional reaction I had at the moment of my first contact. To understand my emotional reaction I needed to know more about crystal skulls. That was the start of a journey that has known and still has many emotional moments. My beloved wife, Jeanne Michaels, and I are the caretakers of about 130 crystal skulls. They teach me every day new things about myself, about energies and about how they can and have been used as tools to expand awareness. I can’t wait until the moment is there that I can read the information stored in them like a book. Crystal skulls are an integrated part of my life. I meditate with them and I sleep with them. Jeanne and I have given workshops internationally with and about them. I have given lectures and written articles about them and recently this resulted in a book about them. And…… the journey continues’.

‘My passion for crystal skulls took flight in 1998.  Since then, together with my husband, Jaap van Etten, our crystal skull family has grown large and is still growing.  Some are ‘old’, though most are contemporary.  We have given crystal skull workshops and activated vortexes and other energy spots across the U.S., in Europe and in Taiwan.  For the last several years Jaap and I have held weekly crystal skull meditations in our home, attended by a steady group who experience and share profound journeys and insights.  I love to use crystal skulls for healing, transformation, expansion of consciousness, creating energy fields and to enhance my connections with other forms of consciousness such as Archangels and other beings of light’.

‘Hearing about the skull in the 60’s left a deep impression that stayed with me until I was finally able to see it in person in 1981. At that first visit Anna Mitchell-Hedges (Sammy) felt like family and the skull brought back memories from my previous lifetimes with it. It was instant recognition. I have been a part of Sammy’s life and the skull ever since. I helped her with her lectures and trips abroad. She lived with me for three years in the 90’s and she moved back with me in 2001 when I became her caretaker. It was her wish that I continue her work. I feel that the skull was a gift from the Ancients and is to be used for the good of all mankind. It is being activated now for the healing and awakening of the planet earth’.

‘My first experience with the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull was at a Psychic Fair in 1989.  I put my Herkimer diamond bracelet next to the skull to be charged. When I wore it I felt different and connected to loving forces I couldn’t explain. When I took the bracelet off I felt alone. Since that first time I have been blessed to visit Anna Mitchell-Hedges, by her friends called Sammy, and her skull many, many times. At each visit miracles and vast awakenings touched the very core of my soul. Over the years my love and admiration for Sammy and my deep connection with the skull grew and grew. ‘Thirteen years ago I was invited to meet with the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull.  I spent an afternoon with Anna Mitchell-Hedges and the Skull. I was struck by the power emanating from it and was inspired to deepen my journey in sound. I began exploring the added dimension of crystals and using formations within sound work. Over the years other tools have come to me including the Peruvian Whistling Vessels, drums, tuning forks, gongs, and crystal bowls. I use these sound tools to aid others in their transformation and healing. In October I was invited to create a ceremony combining the Sacred Sound Experience with the Mitchell-Hedges Crystal Skull. A powerful crystal formation has resulted to house the Skull. The combination of Sacred Sound, the Crystal Formation and the Skull promises to bring about a transcendence of being’.

‘My first encounter with a crystal skull was just over three years ago at my first Sedona full moon gathering.  There were two crystal skulls present.  They were beautifully displayed in a copper pyramid grid with other sacred objects. The power of the space was immense.  About a year later I found a small green skull pendant off the trail by Turtle Rock in Sedona.  This friend is a guardian that I have had on my altar since.  I have been working with crystals for over 7 years in my healing practice.   In understanding that crystals have consciousness and have the ability to be programmed, I believe that these ancient artifacts hold information that can connect us with the wisdom of our ancestors and collect energy for our current intentions and ceremonies for the future.  I tune into these frequencies and gain knowledge and understanding’
